October 21 NQ Trade Review

A short chart example paired with a repeatable review framework. Use the recording to practice separating market context, confirmation, invalidation, and risk from the eventual outcome.

Review the decision, not just the result

The recording is brief, so treat it as a visual prompt rather than a complete rule set. A winning outcome can come from a weak process, and a well-planned trade can still lose. A useful review asks whether the decision was defined before the result was known.

ContextWas the market trending, ranging, or transitioning? What session and volatility conditions applied?
LocationWas price interacting with a level that mattered before the setup appeared?
ConfirmationWhat observable price action had to occur before an entry was allowed?
InvalidationWhere was the idea objectively wrong, and was that level selected before entry?
RiskWhat was the stop distance, dollar exposure, cost allowance, and maximum contract count?
ManagementWhich actions were planned, and which were reactions to unrealized profit or loss?

A simple replay drill

  1. Pause before the decision area.
  2. Write a long case, short case, and no-trade case.
  3. Choose the event that confirms one case and invalidates the others.
  4. Measure the entry-to-stop distance.
  5. Use the calculator to compare NQ and MNQ exposure.
  6. Advance one bar at a time and record only planned decisions.

Repeat the drill across different sessions. A small sample is not enough to establish an edge, but disciplined repetition can reveal whether your definitions are clear.
